Why the World Economic Forum?
The World Economic Forum has successfully established a history of engaging young leaders to positively and proactively impact the global agenda.
The World Economic Forum is uniquely positioned to provide Shapers with the knowledge and insights that engender a better understanding of the global, regional and industry agendas. The World Economic Forum will help the Global Shapers achieve their objectives by:
- Establishing a privileged interaction with some of the existing Forum communities, such as the Young Global Leaders, the Social Entrepreneurs and the Technology Pioneers.
- Providing access to all its other communities - the top leaders from politics, business, civil society, media, science, arts and culture, faith - with the objective to provide a maximum of possibilities for interaction and mutual mentorship.
- Selected Shapers will be asked to attend and actively participate in some of the World Economic Forum Annual Meetings and Regional Summits (e.g. as speakers in panels, as discussion facilitators, etc).
